My astronomy photo’s are amongst my best photo’s, but also my most frustrating ones. It’s difficult going outside in the cold only to find out a cloud was blocking the milky way or your focus was off. With this page I will show you how to make starlight photography as well as showcase my work.

Only during the hardest Covid-19 lockdown it was possible to take photo’s like this during the new moon on a cloudless night. When container-ships as well as tourists weren’t allowed to come here. A photo like this can’t be taken again.

If you leave the camera running for an hour (of put together 60x 1 minute exposures), you get a circle. Because earth spins around the North – the center of the circle is the north star – Polaris.
